The Lancia Appia is a passenger car introduced in 1953 by the Italian car manufacturer Lancia as a replacement for the Ardea, and remained in production for ten years. The Appia was the last in a long line of Lancia production cars dating back to the Lancia Lambda (introduced in 1922) that used a sliding pillar front suspension. All three series produced had a 1089cc Lancia V4 engine.
Third series:
In March 1959, the third series Appia was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show with a new front end. Lancia's traditional shell-style radiator grille was finally abandoned in favor of a horizontal one inspired by the flagship Lancia Flaminia. Engine power was again increased to 48 hp, as was top speed, to 132 km/h (82 mph). The brake system was improved with dual front drum brakes and a "Duplex" dual hydraulic circuit during the 1960 model year. The model designations were different from the previous two series: 808.807 for the LHD variant and 808.808 for the RHD variant. In the third iteration, the Appia finally reached maturity and 55,577 sedans were made, the vast majority of which were left-hand drive.
The Lancia Appia that we offer here was recently imported from Italy. A very nice thing about this car is that there are still several Italian documents with the car!
The Appia now has a Dutch license plate.
The white paintwork of the car is neat, of course you will find some traces of use after 65 years. The interior is still completely original.

De Appia was de laatste in een lange reeks Lancia- productieauto's die teruggingen tot de Lancia Lambda (geïntroduceerd in 1922) die gebruikmaakte van een schuifpijlervoorwielophanging . Alle drie de geproduceerde series hadden een 1089cc Lancia V4-motor .
Derde serie:
In maart 1959 werd de derde serie Appia geïntroduceerd op de Autosalon van Genève met een nieuwe voorkant. Lancia's traditionele radiatorrooster in de stijl van een schelp werd uiteindelijk verlaten ten gunste van een horizontaal exemplaar geïnspireerd op het vlaggenschip Lancia Flaminia . Het motorvermogen ging weer omhoog naar 48 pk, evenals de topsnelheid, tot 132 km/u (82 mph). Het remsysteem werd verbeterd met dubbele voorste trommelremmen en een "Duplex" dubbel hydraulisch circuit tijdens het modeljaar 1960. De modelaanduidingen waren anders dan bij de vorige twee series: 808.807 voor de LHD-variant en 808.808 voor de RHD-variant. In de derde iteratie was de Appia eindelijk volwassen en werden er 55.577 sedans gemaakt, waarvan het overgrote deel met het stuur aan de linkerkant.
De Lancia Appia welke we hier aanbieden is recent geimporteerd vanuit Italie. Heel leuk bij deze auto is dat er nog diverse Italiaanse documenten bij de auto aanwezig zijn!
Inmiddels is de Appia voorzien van een Nederlands kenteken.
Het witte lakwerk van de auto is keurig, uiteraard vindt u enkele gebruikssporen na 65 jaar. Het interieur is nog geheel origineel.

Der Lancia Appia ist ein Personenkraftwagen, den der italienische Automobilhersteller Lancia 1953 als Ersatz für den Ardea einführte und der zehn Jahre lang produziert wurde. Der Appia war der letzte in einer langen Reihe von Lancia-Serienfahrzeugen, die bis zum Lancia Lambda (eingeführt 1922) zurückgingen und über eine Vorderradaufhängung mit verschiebbaren Säulen verfügten. Alle drei produzierten Serien hatten einen 1089-cm³-Lancia-V4-Motor.
Dritte Serie:
Im März 1959 wurde auf dem Genfer Autosalon die dritte Appia-Serie mit neuer Frontpartie vorgestellt. Der traditionelle Kühlergrill im Muschelstil von Lancia wurde schließlich zugunsten eines horizontalen Kühlergrills aufgegeben, der vom Flaggschiff Lancia Flaminia inspiriert war. Die Motorleistung stieg erneut auf 48 PS, ebenso wie die Höchstgeschwindigkeit auf 132 km/h (82 mph). Das Bremssystem wurde im Modelljahr 1960 mit zwei vorderen Trommelbremsen und einem „Duplex“-Doppelhydraulikkreis verbessert. Die Modellbezeichnungen unterschieden sich von den beiden Vorgängerserien: 808.807 für die LHD-Variante und 808.808 für die RHD-Variante. In seiner dritten Auflage erreichte der Appia schließlich seine Reife und es wurden 55.577 Limousinen hergestellt, von denen die überwiegende Mehrheit mit Linkslenkung ausgestattet war.
Der hier angebotene Lancia Appia wurde kürzlich aus Italien importiert. Das Schöne an diesem Auto ist, dass noch verschiedene italienische Papiere vorhanden sind!
Der Appia hat jetzt ein niederländisches Nummernschild.
Der weiße Lack des Autos ist gepflegt, natürlich werden Sie nach 65 Jahren einige Gebrauchsspuren feststellen. Der Innenraum ist noch völlig original.

La calandre traditionnelle en forme de coque de Lancia a finalement été abandonnée au profit d'une calandre horizontale inspirée du produit phare Lancia Flaminia. La puissance du moteur a de nouveau augmenté à 48 ch, tout comme la vitesse de pointe, à 132 km/h (82 mph). Le système de freinage a été amélioré avec deux freins à tambour avant et un double circuit hydraulique "Duplex" au cours de l'année modèle 1960. Les désignations des modèles étaient différentes des deux séries précédentes : 808.807 pour la variante LHD et 808.808 pour la variante RHD. Dans sa troisième itération, l'Appia atteint enfin sa maturité et 55 577 berlines sont fabriquées, dont la grande majorité avec conduite à gauche.
La Lancia Appia que nous vous proposons ici a été récemment importée d'Italie. Ce qui est très bien avec cette voiture, c'est que divers documents italiens sont encore présents avec la voiture !
L'Appia a désormais une plaque d'immatriculation néerlandaise.
