The Volvo 262C is a car model from Volvo. The car was designed by Volvo's then chief designer Jan Wilsgaard and was built by Bertone to Volvo's specifications from 1977 to 1981.
The first two years the car was only available in gray with a vinyl roof. In 1979 and 1980, some other colors were added, such as bronze, light blue and black. A two-tone version was also available from 1981. Only 18 of these were made.
The original engine of the 262C was the B27 2.7 liter six-cylinder, after which a 2.9 liter six-cylinder was also supplied. These engine blocks are both PRV engines, a collaboration between Peugeot, Renault and Volvo.
The 262C was and is an exclusive car because of its luxurious finish, limited production numbers and high price.
This Volvo was built in 1978, so it was originally only available in the silver-gray color.

De eerste twee jaren was de wagen alleen in de grijze kleur beschikbaar met een dak van vinyl. In 1979 en 1980 kwamen er enkele andere kleuren bij zoals brons, lichtblauw en zwart. Vanaf 1981 was er eveneens een two-tone-versie leverbaar. Daarvan werden er maar 18 gemaakt.
De oorspronkelijke motor van de 262C was de B27 2,7 liter-zescilinder, waarna er ook een 2,9 liter-zescilinder werd geleverd. Deze motorblokken zijn beide PRV-motoren, een samenwerkingsverband van Peugeot, Renault en Volvo.
De 262C was en is een exclusieve auto vanwege de luxueuze afwerking, de beperkte productieaantallen en de hoge prijs.
